Experienced Washington Island- Day 3 Anniversary Trip

This Island is nestled in the blue waters of Lake Michigan. It is only 35 square miles and doesn't have a stop light. We drove our truck on the Ferry to get to Washington Island. 

We visited the islands Lavender farm and market. The farm was so beautiful. I bought a Lavender plant and hoping to grow more Lavender at home. 

We also stopped by Schoolhouse beach. It is one of five beaches in the world with perfectly smooth stones. I got some for the kids and can't wait to give the stones to them. 

We also took a boat ride to Rock Island.

We toured the Pottawatomie Lighthouse on the island.  We did a 1.25 mile hike to the lighthouse. It was significant to us because in Hawaii we hiked a volcano. 

We had a great day exploring both islands. Cheers to our 10 year Anniversary trip.

Happy 10 year Anniversary- Friday July 7, 2017

Happy 10 year Anniversary to Us! I can't believe it has been 10 years ago we said, I do in Hawaii on the beach. That day we dreamed of living on the beach one day. We can say we made that dream come true. I am so proud of my husband, he works hard everyday for us so we can live our dream. 

Friday morning we went to a Small Coffee shop and then headed to the Wineries. Our first winery we stopped at was Lautenbach's Orchard Country. We enjoyed the wine tasting and bought some of our favorites. 

Then we went to Harbor Ridge Winery in a log Cabin. Our first winery in a log cabin. We enjoyed the tasting. 

Tim planned the afternoon for me to go to the Spa. I enjoyed my message and sauna session at the Lavender Spa in Fish Creek. It was very thoughtful and I greatly appreciate it! 

After the Spa, we went back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. Tim had made reservations at The Fireside Restaurant in Ellison Bay. Wow, dinner was amazing. We got a bottle of wine, Tim had New Orleans style Jambalaya and I got chicken and waffles. The maple syrup was so good! 

We ended our evening watching the sunset at the hotel.

We also stopped at a fun cheese shop. But Wow was the cheese good!
